Our American meat snack and human grade dog treat and food processing facility is located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The 45,000 ft² facility allows us to produce on a large scale, using industry-leading food processing innovation and custom-designed machinery enabling us to produce up to 1 million packs per month.

Stormberg is reputed to be the largest biltong manufacturer in South Africa, processing up to 80,000 kg of raw meat per month. We supply a range of stockists from our food processing facility in Port Elizabeth, where we currently employ 150 people.

Our Process

Inside our key production processes

Step 1

Meat Slicing

Precisely slices meat to the required thickness and portion size. This ensures consistency, efficiency, and a premium presentation.

Step 2

Vacuum tumbling

Uses vacuum technology to enhance marinade absorption and protein extraction. The result is improved tenderness, moisture retention, and flavour throughout the product.

Step 3

Bowl chopper

Finely chops and emulsifies meat, fat, and ingredients into a uniform mixture. This process ensures consistent texture, flavour distribution, and product quality.

Step 4

Vemag droewors

Utilises specialised Vemag filling technology to produce droewors with consistent diameter, weight, and quality. This process delivers efficient production while maintaining traditional product characteristics.
